As a host club there really isn’t a lot for you to do.
Once your dates are confirmed you will receive your posters promoting the event within the club and detailing how it is played. All we ask you to do is to display these in advance of the event and to encourage as many people as possible to participate. The more people we meet the better.
Our ground staff will arrive on the day before the event under the guidance of your greenkeeping staff, they will erect the sponsor's hoardings around the tees, our “check in” tent near the first tee and leave our promotional materials onsite for the weekend staff.
We will provide all that is necessary to run the event. Our staff will be (onsite) there before the event to go through all of the necessary details with the proshop staff. Signage will explain the rules and how to participate and complete scorecards etc.
Depending on the timesheet of the day, we will aim to be there through the busiest times, and again to collect the cards and establish who the winner is!
Some clubs have expressed an interest in running “The Putter Cup” on a weekend which coincides with an existing event so as to benefit from the added excitement that
“The Putter Cup” brings, of course, this is no issue.
After the event, our ground crew will return and remove all of our equipment and leave everything as we found it.
Thanks again for your interest and we look forward to presenting “The Putter Cup” in your club soon.
